Master Tang honorarily holds a last 10th Dan in the World Organization of Wushu & Kung Fu Masters as certified by Master Chan Sau Chung in 2022 since he obtained 8th Dan in 2018. He also possesses a  2nd Black Belt in Hapkido under the training of Master Program with Sin Moo Hapkido. Other martial arts qualifications include a Black Belt in Haidong Gumdo and the instructor certificate from United World Haodong Kumdo Federation in 2022: Korean Swords Art - Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.

Master Tang began his martial arts training in Shotokan Karate at the age of 17 after intimating Bruce Lee moves in Movies since age 12 in Hong Kong , and studying for two years. When he studied in College , he picked up Teakwaodo and Shaolin-Wing Chun Lineage with Schoolmates who talked Martial arts for leisure . During his Civil Engineering degree in Livrerpool , UK  the 80s, he joined the Hung Gar (Tiger & Crane) Martial Art School for four years. He served as the President of the Kung Fu Club at Liverpool University for three years and became a senior student of Sifu Chen Wai until 1984. While studying, he worked part-time as a security officer in a casino, assisting his Sifu with the security contract. He also worked as an instructor in the school when Sifu was away traveling.

In 2014, Master Tang resumed his Hung Gar training under Sifu Ambrose Kwok Keung Chiu, the son and disciple of the renowned Grandmaster Chiu Wai in Calgary, Alberta. He then studied under Sifu-in-law S K Chan. Concurrently  for 15 years in Hapkido in a local studio , he also was training under Sifu Michael Wang ,an 8th Dan Regional Rep an 8th Dan Regional Rep. in He Spend 2-1/2 years in Studio since he began in 2010 and then went back years for picking up learning and gathering annually  , an 8th Dan Regional Rep. in Siu Wu Hapkido at Saskatoon, Canada. Master Tang meets with Sifu Micheal Wang  every summer and back to the memorable Saskatoon Flying Tiger Studio, spending time with the black belt senior students and  together for exchange knowledge non stopping.      

Dating back to Hong Kong after graduated  from university in 1984, Master Tang trained for two years (2002-2004)  with Sifu Leung Kwok Fung, who ran a martial arts school and now the Grandmaster of Hong Kong University and the University of Science and Technology. He learned 3 weapons forms and got correction on Tiger and Crane as private student.

Master Tang is still actively taking up both training and teaching in Hapkido and TKD (under 2nd Dan - 3rd Dan program) and incorporates the self-defense techniques into his teaching. He practices Chen Tai Chi and Ng Tai Chi Xiqong for health rehabilitation, applying improved self-defense techniques to control attackers rather than causing excessive harm. His diverse training background includes learning Wing Chun, Tai Chi Mantis, and achieving a blue belt in Karate for variety studios. These help him easily deal with various situations when needed. Master Tang never hurt people fatally in unavoid fights and in a life safety situation, he even fought away over 10 gangs with weapons in a crime scene in 90s in Asia.  Occasionally, he obtained a Hong Kong Good Citizen Award when he graduated from college in 1977, certifying his bravery, and his belief of never bowed to threat and crimes- but now only for life and safety . 

Master Tang enjoys tournament sparring (had real fighting experience with multiple attackers and helped weakness from bulling, but he never hurt people seriously in fight. He believes a good martial artist must be bold and smart , but with kind heart). He has received over 25 gold medals, including 6 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze in 2017, and 8 gold medals in 2018 in Hapkido and Karate competitions across different categories for both color and black belts, such as self-defense, sparring, weapons, and performance. His greatest achievement was obtaining the Grand Trophy in the 2017 Open Black Belt Karate Tournament.  Recently he attained a gold medal in Chinese Martial Art Instructor level competition in the CAN AM Martial Art Tournament (the biggest events in Western America), and notably won the Grand Champion of Empty Hand Form in Open Karate Invitation Tournament and enjoy a 2  minutes spalling with a 9th Dan Okinawa Master from Oregon, USA during Spalling Tournament in May 2023. 

 

Master Tang likes to share his successful and failre story, also, his Professional Engineer Practice in Vancouver, BC, Canada  that is his endurance and life time continued efforts for his Practices both in Engineering and Martial Arts. His looks and appearance are actually 10-15 years younger than his actual age.  This is because of his life time practice in Xi-gong, Tachi and Martial Arts that he loves doing at least 4 times in week in early morning.    

Along with Martial Arts, Master Tang passes along his professional endeavor, traditional martial arts ethics, scientific  psychometric, endurance, growth strong and how to become a useful person in the society, He will help parents to have their children grow up as bold, trustful, intelligent respectful and successful adults. This is actually a bonus for teens' and kids' learning.

Master Tang talks about neurological system as the integrity of our central nervous system and peripheral. That is, they will cause different repair, growth, damage or injury to the brain, spinal cord, cranial and peripheral nerves, nerve roots of the autonomic nervous system and neuromuscular junctions - understand brain, reflex, nerve and muscular and joint system. He will also talk about why "Xigong" in Chinese or "Kimu" in Korean  is important to create power in Martial Arts and enable people to live longer and healthy.  He will make things simpler for you to understand and waste no time on fantasy stories- get into it real fuction for rejunivation and emhance fighting technics.
